About Melrose Education

Our Company

Melrose Education is a company with a strategy of building an outstanding group of special educational needs and alternative education schools in England. Our priority is to positively change education outcomes for every one of our learners. Our senior management team and teaching and support staff are dedicated to achieving this meaningful goal with passion and experience.

Building a community of respect

The schools we acquire are already providing transformative opportunities for young people, led by dedicated and inspirational Principals. Melrose Education is committed to supporting and funding our schools to ensure that the learning environment is built on the values of mutual respect, positivity and fairness.

Working responsibly and collaboratively

We are committed to providing an excellent salary and benefits package for our hard-working staff team. We are continually investing in our properties and learning resources. We also place great importance on working constructively and collaboratively with our local authority partners and supporting our Principals with effective advice and guidance.

Awards and Accreditations

We are exceptionally proud of our awards and accreditations as they recognise not only the incredible work of our employees, but also the fantastic achievements of our learners.

Professional Partners

We have experience of working with a number of Local Authorities across our schools. We pride ourselves on the excellent working relationships we have with each Local Authority which ensures we work together to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people. We work collaboratively and communicate openly to enable them to commission the most appropriate education provision for learners.

If you are a professional working in SEN or alternative provision and would like to find out more about our schools, please get in touch.

School Advisory Panel

We understand the key role governance plays in providing strategic direction to ensure our learners achieve the very best outcomes. For this reason, Melrose Education’s Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership Team within each of our schools commission the services of an Independent School Advisory Panel which periodically assesses the performance of the school, offering advice and challenge when applicable.

To ensure each school panel, and Company panel, is adequate and able to meet the needs of the organisation, panel members are made up of volunteers who have comprehensive experience in their area of specialism within the educational sector.

When appointing panel members, we also seek to reflect the diversity of the school and community in which the panel serves. We know that this diversity promotes inclusive school environments and provides diverse role models for staff and young people.
