Rosy Broughton Achieves Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Practice

Melrose Education is proud to announce that Rosy Broughton, Education Manager for the company, has successfully achieved her Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities (Practitioner Status) — a significant milestone that strengthens Melrose’s commitment to supporting the whole child through informed, compassionate, and evidence-based practice.

Awarded by TISUK (Trauma Informed Schools UK), this nationally recognised qualification equips practitioners with the knowledge and practical tools to respond to the emotional and mental health needs of children and young people, particularly those affected by adversity, trauma, or ongoing mental health challenges.

Rosy’s achievement further enhances Melrose Education’s drive to create emotionally safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments across its family of schools.

Rosy Broughton, Education Manager at Melrose Education, said:
“I’m incredibly proud to have completed this diploma. The learning has deepened my understanding of how trauma affects development, behaviour and learning, and has equipped me with practical strategies to support our schools in becoming even more nurturing and emotionally intelligent spaces for all learners. Every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and supported — and this work is central to making that a reality.”

Tracey Storey, Founder, CEO and Executive Chair of Melrose Education, added:
“Rosy’s achievement reflects the values at the heart of Melrose Education — compassion, understanding, and the highest standards of care. We are committed to leading the way in trauma-informed practice, and Rosy’s knowledge will have a lasting, positive impact across all of our schools. We are thrilled to have such a passionate and skilled leader driving forward our vision for inclusive, healing-centred education.”

Melrose Education continues to prioritise emotional wellbeing, mental health awareness and trauma-informed approaches across all of its specialist settings — ensuring learners are not only educated, but genuinely supported to thrive.
