Melrose Education is delighted to announce that Kerry Taylor, Principal of Highgate Hill House School, has been named the winner of the National Association of Independent and Non-Maintained Special Schools (NASS) Special Contribution Award – Transformational Leader 2025.
This national accolade recognises outstanding leadership that has driven meaningful and lasting change within a school, transforming outcomes for learners, staff, and the wider community.
Since joining Highgate Hill House School, Kerry has led a period of significant transformation, embedding a nurturing, trauma-informed culture that celebrates neurodiversity and empowers every learner to succeed. Under her leadership, the school has developed a forward-thinking curriculum, strengthened staff development, and fostered an environment where high expectations and compassion work hand in hand.
